The Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered ministry providing alternatives to abortion and support programs committed to saving lives, physically, spiritually, and emotionally, one life at a time, for the Glory of God.

The Pregnancy Center is a true grassroots organization that began in 1984 in the living room of a local youth pastor and his wife as they were trying to meet the needs of several pregnant young women from their congregation. Their passion was to teach these young women about the value of their life and their children’s lives through the eyes of Jesus, and provide them with practical, spiritual, and emotional support through pregnancy and early parenting.

This continues to be the foundation for all that The Pregnancy Center provides today. The ministry was handed to a local women’s ministry who expanded what was offered to include parenting classes that were available for free to any newly pregnant woman in the Southern Oregon.

Then in 2009 RVPRC moved to its current location with plenty of space to grow into, became a medical clinic, and legally changed its name to The Pregnancy Center. The addition of medical services provided by a registered nurse with oversight from a local Medical Director allowed TPC to directly help moms make life-saving decisions through the use of early obstetrical ultrasounds. Over the next few years, the programs and services expanded to include many more medical services, and parenting education opportunities.

In 2002 a brave group of men and women formed a new nonprofit that was financially supported by several local churches and called it Rogue Valley Pregnancy Resource Center (RVPRC). This new organization was able to offer one-to-one counseling as well as group classes while moving several times to accommodate the increased client numbers.

In 2023 the board of directors simplified the mission statement which guides all of the decisions for the ministry which says: The Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered ministry providing alternatives to abortion, and support programs dedicated to saving lives physically, spiritually, and emotionally, one life at a time for the glory of God.
